Creamfields
Where: Daresbury
Head to Camp and Furnace on Sunday 26th August for ‘Gold Digger’, an old school Hip Hop and RnB party that you won’t want to miss out on. As well as the greatest 90s and 00s Hip Hop hits, you will be treated to glitter stations, fun inflatables and hundreds of free crowns so you can be the king and queens you were born to be. Tickets cost £5.50 and can be found on Skiddle.
Swing Afternoon Tea
Where: 30 James Street
Indulge in a luxurious afternoon tea featuring delicious finger sandwiches, sweet treats and prosecco while you’re transported to a world of song and dance with live performances and sing-alongs. Taking place within the historic interior of the White Star Grand Hall at the home of the Titanic on Sunday 26th August, this is the perfect event for all the family and something you’re sure to remember for years to come.
The Wirral Triathlon
Where: West Kirby Marina
Get active this Bank Holiday, burn off those summer BBQ and take on the Wirral triathlon. Organised by Epic Events, this amazing challenge will take place at West Kirby Marina on Sunday 26th August and is open to all abilities. The open water swim will take place in the marina lake, followed by 2 laps of the course by bike and 2 laps around the lake by foot.
Croxteth Park Walled Garden
Where: Croxteth Hall
As part of the National Open Garden Scheme, around 3,700 beautiful private gardens are opening for charity across the UK. This Bank Holiday weekend, the scenic two acre Victorian Walled Garden at Croxteth Hall will be opened up for your enjoyment between 11.30am and 5pm on Sunday 26th August. After a good wander around the gardens you will have the chance to enjoy a cup of tea and some home-made cake.
Hoylake RNLI Open Day
Where: Hoylake Promenade
Hoylake Lifeboat’s annual Open Day returns to Hoylake Promenade in support of the RNLI. This free event will include a funfair, an air display, trade stands, charity stalls, raffles, and tours of a lifeboat. It’s the perfect place to spend your long weekend and one of the best August Bank Holiday events on our guide.
