Comedy Central @ Blue Bar & Grill – 3–5th
If you’re looking for a night of laughs to get you through the final push of the working week then Comedy Central is right for you. Each and every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Comedy Central has a host of comedians to entertain. Each night consists of the very best in stand up comedy, drinks and select meal packages at Blue Bar & Grill. This week the likes of Sully O’Sullivan, Rob Rouse and Scott Bennett will be performing who between them have a wealth of awards, excellent reviews and plenty of laughs.

Poppies: Weeping Window @ St Georges Hall
Several thousand poppies have made the journey all the way from The Tower of London to cascade down St Georges Hall. The iconic poppy sculpture, Wave and Weeping Window is aptly named as the poppies came out from the window and fell down the Tower of London and onto the ground below. The breathtaking sculpture has been seen by millions of people all around the world and a select few thousand are touring the UK.
The poppies will be at St Georges Hall until January when they’ll move to the next location. No entrance fee is required to see the poppies and they can be accessed by Lime Street.
Shrek The Musical @ Liverpool Empire
One of the greatest children’s animations ever made comes to Liverpool’s Empire Theatre. Based on the award-winning DreamWorks production, Shrek the Musical is this year’s must see show for all of the family.
We all know the story of Shrek, his noble steed Donkey and the ever temperamental Princess Fiona, the love story which continues to capture audiences of all ages. The musical has received rave reviews after being see by over a million people in London. The show is on until the 6th December and runs a couple of times a day.
The Zanzibar Presents @ Zanzibar – 5th
Zanzibar is a hub for up and coming bands and musicians on the local scene. If you love listening to live and acoustic music Zanzibar is the perfect spot for you on a Saturday evening. Located on Seel Street, Zanzibar is perfectly situated on the busiest road in Liverpool which makes it perfect for up and coming artists to showcase their talents to the local crowd. This week there will be performances from The Stamp, Spares, Little Mick and The Filthy Janes as well as Sam Caldwell and Adam Bulmer.
Tickets cost £4 and doors open at 7.15pm.
Michael McIntrye @ The Echo Arena – 4–5th
Michael McIntyre returns to Liverpool for his third comedy show, Happy & Glorious with special guest Paul Tonkinson. The funniest man in Britain will be at Liverpool’s Echo Arena on the waterfront on the 5th and 6th of December.
The stand up comic is a hit with people of all ages, but there is an age restriction of 14+.

SantaLand @ Calderstones Park
SantaLand is the perfect opportunity to get the kids excited for Christmas. The winter wonderland comes to Calderstones Park in South Liverpool where they’ll be Santa’s Grotto, a chance to meet Santa and a large fun fair. Don’t worry if you’re fully booked up until Christmas because SantaLand will be open until the 3rd of January 2016.
There is also loads of photo opportunities, chances to win prizes and if you pay a little more your child can get a gift off Santa.
Winter Arts Market @ St Georges Hall – 5-6th
Merseyside’s largest crafts and arts markets returns to Liverpool on the first weekend of December. Now in its 7th year, the Winter Arts Market is returning to one of the most beautiful venues in the city, the Grade I listed St Georges Hall. With stalls from over 200 artists, the markets make a perfect place to buy individual and unique Christmas gifts for loved ones. On offer is a range of handmade jewellery and accessories, paintings, beauty products, decorations, cards, photography and vintage clothing. There is also a vintage fair, kid-friendly craft workshops, live music and delicious food and drink.
The Winter Arts Market is open from 10am – 5pm. Entry costs £2 or is free for under-16s.
Record Fair @ The Bluecoat – 5th
If you’re into old school records and like collecting or playing music the traditional way, then this fair at The Bluecoat is perfect for you. Instead of battling the crowds of Liverpool One why not take solace in the form of a peaceful, open space filled with like minded people. You’ll find a number of great gifts at this fair including; vinyl’s, CDs, DVDs, music books and posters.
The fair is on Saturday 5th December and is open from 10am-5pm, entrance is free for all.
Christmas Markets
Liverpool’s Christmas Markets are back and offer a wide range of gifts, festive treats and unusual foods. The markets bring the city centre to life every year and this year they haven’t disappointed.
You’ll be feeling festive in no time as you wander around listing to Christmas music and taking in the smells and sights that the markets have to offer. There are more bars than we’ve ever seen before which offer a range of stein beers, mulled wines and hot cider to ensure you don’t get cold.

Coca Cola Truck @ Williamson Square – 4th
The holidays are coming to Liverpool as the Coca Cola Truck arrives in the city centre. The Christmas Truck is on tour and will be pulling into Liverpool on Friday 4th December, 12-8pm.
The Coca Cola truck has been a synonymous with Christmas in the city with the truck attracting thousands of visitor’s year on year. People queue to get a photo outside of the truck and a free bottle of coke. You can find the truck in Williamson Square, which is just off Whitechapel in the city centre.
Independent Liverpool Winter Wonderland @ The Great Baltic Warehouse – 11-13th
Independent Liverpool is set to put on the most festive winter wonderland this city ever did see and it’s happing in the most creative location, The Great Baltic Warehouse. The company which celebrates everything independent in Liverpool is bringing the best restaurants, bars and retailers to the wonderland which will showcase everything we love about this city
The Baltic Warehouse will be decorated by twinkly lights and a beautiful Christmas tree which they’re hoping you will decorate. There will also be a secret mulled wine garden, live music from local DJ’s, bands and even carol singers.
Gin Festival @ The Metropolitan Cathedral – 18th
The Gin Festival returns to one of Liverpool’s most iconic venues, The Metropolitan Cathedral on Mount Pleasant. This year the Gin Festival will be serving up 100 different gins from all across the UK, accompanied by your favourite tonics and garnishes.
It doesn’t matter if you consider yourself a gin expert or simply an enthusiast, there will be masterclasses from industry experts and a range of live music and food on offer.
This year’s festival is set to be spectacular, especially in this grand setting, the festival is only for one weekend only starting on Saturday 18th December until Sunday 19th.
The Gin Festival is strictly an 18+ event.
Christmas Salsa Party under the Palms @ Sefton Park – 11th
Looking to heat things up this Christmas? Get yourself to Salsa Under the Palms in Liverpool’s beautiful Palm House located in the picturesque Sefton Park.
No matter what your Salsa capabilities, anyone is welcome to enjoy a night of fun, salsa and live music. Guest instructor and choreographer Nigel May will be there as well as resident DJ Karen who will be joined by some special guests.
Cinderella @ Epstein Theatre – 10th – 3rd January
Cinderella and Prince Charming arrive in Liverpool on the 10th December to whisk you away to a magical ball.
The popular love story guest stars’ model and heartthrob, Calum Best as Prince Charming and Liverpool’s very own Beryl Marsden who will play the wand-waving Fairy Godmother. Cinderella at The Epstein is set to be a night to remember.
The popular story is suitable for all ages, whether it be young boys and girls or parents who love the classic film or just Calum Best fans.
Cinderella will be played by Epstein panto regular, Alison Crawford and is guaranteed to bring a magical night to Hanover Street.
