Taking place in the wonderful surroundings of the Liverpool Cricket Club in Aigburth, the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament has grown to become the longest running and largest tennis expo in Europe.
Celebrating its 18th birthday this June, the tennis tournament has introduced both up and coming and established WTA and ATP players, such as John McEnroe, Greg Rusedski and Martina Navratilova.
This June, tennis fans are to be treated to a masterclass from the maverick Mansour Bahrami, a match involving ex-world No.15 Kaia Kanepi and lots more, tennis-themed fun.

Gaia

Located in Britain’s largest cathedral, ‘Gaia’ – meaning the personification of the earth – is hanging hauntingly in the Grade I listed building and features accurate and detailed NASA imagery of the earth.
Gaia, by Luke Jerram, is complemented by a sound composition created by BAFTA award-winning composer Dan Jones.
The artwork forms part of the ‘Changing Tides’ creative programme, which last year saw the Museum of the Moon come to the Cathedral. This year, Gaia celebrates the port of Liverpool as a gateway for inspirational culture, music, food and wine from across the globe.
Gaia is sure to be one of the most awe-inspiring events in Liverpool in June.
The Champions League Final

Fans are invited to catch the Reds in action on the giant screen at the M&S Bank Arena as Jurgen Klopp’s men bid to win the Champions League for a 6th time.
Supporters who were unable to get to Madrid can catch the build up, watch the match and soak up the Anfield-esc atmosphere inside the arena.
The Reds have also announced that plans are in place for a victory parade in June if they win the Champions League.
You can also watch the final at the Liverpool-themed Shankly Hotel, Camp and Furnace and Grand Central to name but a few places to watch the match in Liverpool.
The Reds have conquered Europe, but can they conquer Spurs on June 1st in Madrid. Let’s hope so.
Wirral Real Ale Trail

Back for its third consecutive year, the Wirral Real Ale Trail returns on 8th June. Beer aside for a moment, the Real Ale Trail gives beer lovers the opportunity to sample some of the fantastic scenery and crisp seaside air as they travel from New Brighton to Birkenhead via Hoylake, Irby and Oxton.
This beer pilgrimage has a uniquely diverse selection of pubs and venues with one thing in common, great ale.
“If you haven’t done it then do it. It’s a great way to see some of Wirral’s finest pubs and enjoy a great day out with your friends. The more the merrier,” said one very happy customer.

The Keith Haring Exhibition

One of the most hotly anticipated exhibitions of the year, Tate Liverpool is welcoming the iconic works of artist and activist Keith Haring this June.
During the 1980s, Haring championed a counterculture movement which was inspired by the likes of pop art, poetry, street art and underground club culture.
Visitors can enjoy more than 85 works of art, including some of his most renowned, large and striking pieces. What’s more, discover how Haring spoke for his generation on major issues surrounding dictatorship, racism, homophobia, capitalism and the environment.
