Sefton park Gruffalo

The story of the Gruffalo is world famous by now.
Released in the UK in 1999, the Gruffalo book has been adapted to plays on the West End and Broadway.
Now the Gruffalo has made its way to Sefton Park’s Palm House in the form of an arts and craft day.
There will be singing, games and plenty of storytelling in a fun-filled afternoon in one of Liverpool’s most beautiful outdoor spaces.
Taking place 13:00-15:00 pm on the 22nd of February £5.00 per child.

The Story Barn and Michael Rosen have paired up to create a special world where Rosen’s stories are brought to life.
Join a team of Story Hunters as you and the kids are led on a Bear Hunt Trail, through a massive chocolate cake and into Uncle Gobb’s Dread Shed.
The project has been created to instil in children the importance of reading for pleasure. Story Barn has created a concept which allows children, parents and teachers to be able to experience the popular stories and poems of Michael Rosen together.
This amazing interactive world will help ignite the imagination of young people and is a great way to spend a day out with the family during this half term in Liverpool.
Gandey’s Circus

Is there anything more entertaining for the whole family than a day out at the circus?
Clowns, trapeze, daring acrobats and death defying stunts are just a few sights to be seen at Gandey’s Circus.
Take the kids along to Aintree Racecourse and watch as the cast and crew of Gandy’s circus attempt to win your heart with show-stopping performances that have been celebrated across the globe.

A trip to the museum doesn’t always scream fun time for the kids but at the World Museum in Liverpool, the staff make each and every young person’s visit a memorable experience.
During this half term in Liverpool take the little ones along to Storytelling at the World Museum on the 23rd of February 14:30 pm – 15:30 pm. Let them listen and learn as they are read tales based on exhibitions and displays throughout the museum.
As the World Museum covers everything from the deepest oceans to the furthers reaches of space, it’s safe to say that there’s a story for every family to enjoy.

A definite rainy day activity for this half term can be found on Albert Dock at Mattel Play.
Take the little ones along to play on Thomas the Tank Engine and Rosie, or take a miniature train ride around actual working tracks.

Screening of The Lion King at the International Slavery Museum

Make a visit with the family to watch a special screening of the nation’s favourite Disney classic, Lion King.
This amazing family event will be taking place on the 24th of February at 13:00 pm in the International Slavery Museum.
You and the kids can sing along to your favourite tunes from the film such as ‘hakuna Matata’ and then when the film is over learn all about real life animals in Africa.
The museum staff will explain the lives of the animals that live in the wild and how they influenced ancient African Artwork on display in the museum.
Not just a fun Disney day out for the kids, but they will also learn all about the circle of life.
Monsetersaurus at The Epstein

A popular children’s is book brought to life on the stages of Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre this half term in Liverpool on the 21st February.
Claire Freedman’s Monstersaurus is a delightful tale about Monty, a young inventor who is forever creating marvellous inventions that go horribly wrong.
One day he comes across the Monstersaurus and begins creating very strange things indeed.
Head along to the Epstein to find out exactly what Monty has brought to life and how he plans to keep them all under control.
This fabulous live performance will be filled with magic, music and mayhem and with audience interaction, the kids will become a part of the show.
Family Friday’s at The Shankly Hotel
