An Amazing 1,200 Seater German Beer Festival is Coming to Liverpool This Summer

With National Beer Day fast approaching on the 15th June, there’s never been a better time to get tickets to a beer festival.

Fancy sampling a weissbier or special Bavarian beer in the iconic St George’s Hall? Well this year you can.

This summer, Liverpool’s historic St George’s Hall welcomes the German Bierfest to its Plateau for the biggest festival of its kind the city has seen.

So if you’re a beer lover that is tiring of the sight of your local – check out what St George’s has planned.

Where: St George’s Hall

Set to open at the end of June, this huge festival is sure to be a big hit with local Liverpudlians.

Featuring an amazing open-air 1,200 seater Biergarten, a German Village, an exclusive beer tent and a glorious gathering of wooden huts selling delicious and authentic German food, the German Bierfest is a celebration of this brilliant culture.

There will be three different specially brewed Bavarian beers on offer as well as a huge variety of weissbier, hugo, sekt, bratwurst, bockwurst and much more.

Visitors can wander around the souvenir huts and peruse the traditional German gifts including Tyrolean hats, sweet gingerbread and carefully crafted wooden trinkets and toys.

Enjoy exclusive DJ shows while you enjoy a beer or two in the sunshine.

A family friendly festival, the kids can enjoy the activity area with the traditional Hau den Lukas game.

All staff will be dressed in special Bavarian costume including Lederhosen for men and Dirndl for ladies.

It is free entry to the open-air areas and table booking are available for the Bier Tent.

The Liverpool Craft Beer Expo

When: 15-18th June
Where: Constellations

Back for its fifth year, the Liverpool Craft Beer Expo features over 300 beers, both keg and cask, spread across 20 bars and more than 100 beer taps.

Ale takes the centre stage but there is also a wide selection of food and live-music performances on offer.

The Expo will take place in Constellations on Greenland Street in the Baltic Triangle and ticket prices vary from £10.50 to £12.50 depending on the day you decide to attend.

A success year on year, the Expo is a firm favourite with the Liverpool crowd and draws in beer lovers from far and wide.

St George’s Hall Beer Festival

When: 28 – 30 September 2017

Where: St George’s

Set inside the iconic St George’s Hall, this beer festival is one of the most impressive in Liverpool.

Sit back and enjoy a choice of over 200 different real ales, ciders and bottled beers as you take in the grandiose interior of St George’s.

If beer isn’t quite your thing, there will also be an indoor gin garden, wine and prosecco on tap.

Of course, there will also be hot and cold food to soak up the alcohol, provided by local vendors.

Lucky visitors can also purchase VIP tickets that entitle you to unlimited real ales and ciders, a complimentary premium spirit and mixer or bottled beer each, queue jump at the entrance, an exclusive reserved table on the stage in the Great Hall, colour programme and a souvenir glass.

It’s sure to be a spectacular event in one of Liverpool’s best loved buildings.
