As we start to wake up to daylight and arrive home before sunset, it’s safe to say that we’re finally coming out of winter hibernation.

Over the past few weeks, Liverpool has been experiencing some pretty grim weather, with temperatures hitting freezing and Storm Dorris causing havoc, it’s pretty exciting to see early signs of spring, even if we still need our woolly hat!

As always, there is a plethora of events happening around Liverpool in March including an Absolutely Fabulous Gin Festival, Bewitched at Bongo’s Bingo and the biggest fight of the year, we’re sure you’ll be struggling to fit it all in.

Where: Royal Liverpool Philharmonic

If you’ve ever been intrigued by the happenings backstage at Liverpool’s most renowned music and events venue, then you’re in for a treat as the Philharmonic is giving your exclusive access backstage.

Shit Indie Disco Thursdays

Where: Arts Club

Want to start the weekend early? Head to the Arts Club for delicious pizza and brilliant Indie music.

Get your weekly fix and head to Liverpool’s biggest and best Indie night where you can enjoy inflatables, glow sticks, glitter and amazing drink offers.

With a playlist of the Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Kings of Leon, The Stokes and so much more, this is the only place to be on a Thursday.

Absolutely Fabulous Gin Festival

When: 3-4th March

Where: Croxteth Hall

If a gin festival sounds like the perfect way to spend a weekend, then you need to head to the beautiful Croxteth Hall for a gin festival like no other.

Try a whole range of delicious gins from all around the world with a variety of Fever Tree Tonics and a range of garnish’s to finish off the ultimate gin cocktail.

There will furthermore be live entertainment and two sittings on Saturday, so what are you waiting for, grab your mum, best friend or partner and enjoy the most wonderful gin filled weekend.

You certainly will be smiling with this reggae event at 24 Street Kitchen.

Enjoy some of the finest sounds from the Caribbean with Browny (Fadda B), Bugsy-Wan, Redemption Sound & Jay Blakke (Ricochet Sound Intl) supporting residents on the night.

This is set to be a soulful night of root music and positive vibes, certainly one you can’t miss.

Comedy Camp

When: 3rd March

Where: Camp & Furnace

Liverpool is home to some remarkable comedians and underground comedy nights and on the first Saturday of March, there will be a newbie in town.

Comedy Camp at Liverpool’s Camp & Furnace will be in partnership with Boom-Tiwsh! And will bring the likes of Patrick Monahan, Harrison Richards, Suzanna Gonzo and The Unbearable Pleasure of Being A Woman all hosted by Lara A. King.

Get ready for a big night ahead.

Salsa Under the Palms

When: 4th March

Where: Sefton Park Palm House

Fancy joining 400 dancers under the beautiful Palm House trees for Liverpool’s biggest Latin dance event? Then you need to head to Sefton Park on the first Saturday of the month.

Enjoy a dance class taught by professionals and shake your hips for hours on end under the moonlight with a bar and amazing atmosphere. Dancers of all abilities are welcome.

The Big Fat Simpsons Quiz

When: 7th March

Where: The Merchant

Take a trip to Springfield in this Simpsons quiz which is guaranteed to test your knowledge on all things Bart, Homer, Mr Burns and Moe.

Quizmaster Patsy Blair will return to The Merchant which will be transformed into Moe’s Tavern for one night only and provide you with all the laughs, games and drinking you can handle.

An Evening with Floyd Mayweather

When: 10th March

Where: Echo Arena

If you’re a fan of Floyd Mayweather and long to see him in action, then you should certainly be excited about this unique event at The Auditorium at the Echo Arena.

Watch and listen to a 45-minute interview with Floyd hosted by Sky Sports Jonny Nelson for a night you won’t forget in a hurry.

You’ll have the opportunity to ask the boxing legend questions and get to know the ‘moneymaker’ a little more.

MCM Conic Con

When: 11-12th March

Where: Exhibition Centre

Be transported into the wonderful world of movies, comics, and sci-fi as Liverpool welcomes it’s second Conic Con event. With eSports competitions, a comic village and of course the chance to see a number of incredibly dressed fans, this is guaranteed to be an amazing weekend.

So, dress up in your favourite costumes and prepare to see some heroes as Sam J Jones and Trina Nishimura will be at the Exhibition Centre ready for a live meet & greet.

St Patrick’s Day is upon us and we’re thrilled that Irish icons B*wiched will be in Liverpool to help Jonny, Sue and Betty celebrate in style.

All of the usual Bongo’s antics will be happening including cash prizes, sh*t prizes and of course a special performance from B*witched.

St Patrick’s Day in Liverpool is always a mad one, and this two-day extravaganza is set to be the start of an incredible weekend.

Where: Mount Pleasant

Liverpool is undoubtedly the second home of Ireland and you certainly know it on the 17th March.

Come together with Liverpool for a Paddy’s Day Parade, heading through the streets of Liverpool and celebrating our love for the Irish.

Starting off from the Old Irish Centre on Mount Pleasant and making its way through the city centre, you’ll be joined by a flute band, two pipe bands and drum band to really kick off Paddy’s Day celebrations.

Independent Liverpool are known for throwing a good old party, and of course, Paddy’s Day is no exception.

The match will be kicking off from Liverpool’s iconic Anfield stadium which has recently undergone a dramatic transformation, so head to the Kop to experience true Liverpool magic.
