We’ve finally made it to Spring!

Where days are longer, warmer and going for a beer after work is deemed more acceptable.

There is plenty to keep you busy during the month of April.

Liverpool’s most loved racing event takes place and festival season is officially underway; check out our what’s on guide for the best club nights, quiz nights and events happening around Liverpool.

How Scouse are You?

When: 4th April

Where: The Merchant

Independent Liverpool have pulled it out the bag again for the ultimate Scouse quiz?

We recently unleashed the debate Scouse vs. Wool and if you think you’re considered a proper Scouser get down to The Merchant on Slater Street to prove it. With some great prizes, Nightcrawler Pizza and lots of laughs this is a quiz to end all arguments.

Where: Aintree Racecourse

The most exciting racing event in the calendar is back and there is nowhere better to be than Liverpool.

If you haven’t got tickets to the grand event then simply head to one of the cities many bars who will be showing the racing. The Garden of Eden is holding a spectacular day of dining, racing and betting where you can see all of the action whilst enjoy a two-course meal, afternoon tea and glass of fizz with live betting touts.

Nightlife on race weekend is nothing short of spectacular, so get your glad rags on and get ready to party.

Newsham Park Abandoned Asylum and Orphanage Ghost Hunt

When: 7th April

Where: Newsham Park Orphanage & Asylum

Like to be spooked? This is the night for you.

This creepy overnight ghost hunt runs from 9.30pm till 3.30am and will take you on a journey you don’t want to miss!

The abandoned Hospital has a massive array of spooky rooms, corridors and basements, including a School House, hospital wards, nurse’s accommodation, Bell Tower, Chapel and Mortuary.

What will you hear? Who will you see? The only way to find out is heading on this spooky tour.

Homeless Not Hopeless

Where: LJMU Redmonds Building

This unique film showcase focuses on the issue of homelessness in Liverpool created by six third year drama students.

With interviews with Liverpool’s Whitechapel centre, Help the Homeless and volunteers, this short film highlights the current issues homeless people are facing and how we can help.

Disco & house comes together for a remarkable party.

James Morgan & Jimmy Allen will be gracing the stage at Mouvement’s debut and are sure to bring the party to this iconic venue.

Wonderland Presents

The newest student night to hit Liverpool.

Wonderland Presents is a monthly event which brings some of the UK’s best DJ’s to the iconic O2 Academy in Liverpool.

Expect incredible DJ sets, amazing drink offers and bundles of fun in what’s set to be the biggest student night of the month.

Where: Liverpool Anglican Cathedral

Purple Rave – A Night Dedicated to Prince

When: 30th April

Where: The Merchant

Celebrate all things Prince with a night at The Merchant.

Be taken on a journey like no other as the night is split into two acts, Act I will see Prince’s movie debut shown on the big screen allowing you to dance along to the iconic soundtrack. Act II is the Purple Rave with resident DJ’s playing hit after hit till late.
