White Wolf Kitchen

White Wolf Kitchen is housed within White Wolf Yoga, a place of tranquillity, relaxation and serenity.

Following a yoga session, the White Wolf Kitchen is a vegetarian café guaranteed to satisfy your every health craving. You can enjoy a range of fruit and vegetable super smoothies, delicious breakfasts and healthy lunchtime bites.

In the mood for a burger? Not to worry as  White Wolf have a truly unique take on the indulgent classic. Their Avo and Seitan Burger features tomato, rocket, onion and hot pepper sauce all sandwiched in a green, avocado bun.

Don’t worry if you fancy a treat, you’ll be able to find raw vegan cakes by Studio Raw Liverpool and a number of treats lovingly created by White Wolf founder, Louise Fitzsimmons.

The Delkery is an independent, family run café located on Dale Street in the city centre.

Serving breakfast and lunch, Delkery gives you the option to build your own breakfast, simply choose your protein, egg and vitamins to give a healthy twist to the most important meal of the day.

The Egg Café, or as it’s locally known, the Egg is a vegetarian restaurant located just off Bold Street.

Vegetarian and Veganism is a growing dietary choice and many are choosing this lifestyle because of the health benefits it offers. The Egg is a restaurant a little different from the rest, nestled along a back street and up a couple of flights of stairs you’ll be welcomed into this loft restaurant which is light, airy and a little bit hippy.

The menu is predominantly vegetarian with a number of vegan and gluten-free options too and if you’re worried about portion size then you’ve got the Egg all wrong. Serving Sunday Roast, breakfast, salads and soups there is plenty to try here.

Portion sizes are huge with mounds of salads, quinoa and veggies ensuring you won’t leave the Egg hungry.

Japanese cuisine has a reputation for being healthy so it’s no surprise that Liverpool’s best Japanese restaurant, ETSU has made the cut for healthy eating in Liverpool.

Serving authentic Japanese food, ETSU is open from lunch to dinner with sushi, gyoza’s, miso soup and udon dishes. If you’re working in the business district of the city and fancy picking up a healthy lunch, we recommend opting for the bento box which comes with salad, rice and potatoes.

Open morning, noon and night, East Avenue Bakehouse is a proud supplier of local produce with a few healthy selections.

As you may have guessed, EAB bake their own bread and it’s a delicious addition to many of their dishes. Serving breakfast lunch and dinner on the ever popular and independent Bold Street, you can find a number of classic dishes adorning the menu with a selection of more unusual offerings.

The menu at East Avenue Bakehouse is certainly mixed but for those looking for a healthy alternative, you’re in luck. One of our favourites from the lunch menu is Sloe Gin and Orange Cured Salmon served on a rocket and cranberry salad, or if you’re heading out for breakfast why not try their Homemade Granola with Raisins and Almonds topped with Natural Yoghurt and an Apple and Blackberry Compote.

East Avenue Bakehouse

Lebanese food is both healthy and tasty and this Bold Street restaurant is serving up both.

Serving breakfast, mezze’s, mains and a number of middle eastern specialities, Bakchich is an eclectically refreshing street food restaurant with buckets of charm and plenty of healthy options.

Middle Eastern food is naturally healthier and taking your pick from the diverse menu you’ll be able to enjoy a whole range of delicious dishes which won’t leave you feeling guilty. Your best bet would be to enjoy a few hot and cold mezzes such as Avocado Hommos, Falafel, Fool Moudamas and Baba Ghanoush.

These smaller dishes are the perfect alternative to a larger single dish and ensure you can try several mezzes at once.

HUS is an exciting café and event space located in the bustling business district of the city.

Open from 8 am you can enjoy a range of breakfast dishes, lunchtime bites to eat in or takeaway and sophisticated evening meals.

The menu is superbly different with a wide range of healthy options on offer including open sandwiches, FIKA boards, vegan breakfasts, superfood soups and comfort food plates.

Offering diners the option to eat in or take away, HUS is a welcome addition to the cities busy office workers who need a fresh alternative to boring, uninspired sandwiches. But don’t worry if you’re not based in this area of the city, Hus is just next to Moorfields station so only a few minutes from the city centre.

We’ve longed for a fresh food market in Liverpool city centre and finally, our prayers were answered.

An exciting organic food market opened in Radiant House on Bold Street, opposite the Old Post Office and offers a range of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as a bakery, cheese counter and eatery. There is also a range of products for those who are both vegetarian and vegan and furthermore a number of gluten and dairy free goods available.

One of the most popular restaurants in Liverpool, Maray offers diners unique dishes that are inspired by the Middle-East but with nods to cuisine from all across the world.

Nestled away on Petticoat Lane, just off the hustle and bustle of Bold Street, The Nakery is a fantastic healthy eating spot specialising in raw nourishing treats.

The owner of The Nakery, Natalie, had no previous baking background and found inspiration from online healthy treat experts all over the world.  She began to create her own recipes based on the new knowledge she had learnt. She created an Instagram that showcased her amazing healthy, baked treats and the rest is history.

At The Nakery, you can enjoy everything from unique cake jars to luxury slices, all made completely “naked” full of goodness and with no artificial ingredients whatsoever.
