Christmas offers the perfect opportunity to indulge in a little (or a lot) of what you like.

Whether you’re partial to a festive tipple, a traditional Christmas dish or just want mounds of chocolate, you are most definitely in luck, because we’re offering some of the best festive treats in Liverpool this Christmas. Prepare to drool…

Festive Afternoon Tea

Where: The Bastion Bar & Restaurant

After enjoying a trip to Signature’s Grotto to see Father Christmas, or after a busy day of festive shopping, you could always treat yourself to Festive Afternoon Tea. With seasonal sandwiches, cakes and traditional jam and cream scones, you will be in food heaven at this beautiful Victoria Street restaurant, which is located within The Shankly Hotel.

Chocolate Fondue Smorgasbord

Where: The Club House

Who cares about chestnuts roasting on an open fire when you have this mouth-watering chocolate fondue smorgasbord? The Club House at Liverpool One allows you to dip a variety of yummy treats into melted chocolate, and includes marshmallows, brownies and banana and strawberries.

Smoked Salmon & Crab Profiteroles

Where: Moose & Moonshine

There’s nothing quite like a good ol’ profiterole at Christmas time, are we right? Well, Moose & Moonshine have put a twist on this classic pastry recipe, offering delicious smoked salmon and crab profiteroles that are bursting with flavour. Yum!

Lady Penelope

Where: Ex Directory

If you can’t whip out the cocktails at Christmas when else can you? In celebration of the festive season, Ex Directory has created the exceedingly delicious Lady Penelope cocktail, which is a beautiful concoction of port, pineapple, Warner Edwards rhubarb gin and prosecco. Now that’s what we call a winter warmer!

Where: Slim’s Pork Chop Express

Forget what you know about Christmas dinner and take yourself along to Slim’s Pork Chop Express, because they are offering the naughty but nice XXXMAS Feast. Think BBQ pigs in blankets, smoked turkey, honey glazed gammon, brisket and pulled pork, alongside cauliflower mac ‘n’ cheese, maple carrots, sweet potato mash, cranberry gravy and maple bacon collard greens.

Traditional Mulled Wine

Where: Alma de Cuba

It’s not Christmas until there’s a glass of mulled wine firmly in your hand, which is why Alma de Cuba has put a spin on the traditional festive drink, as they have created their own recipe, which offers a blend of their own secret spices.

Hot Chocolate

Where: The Bastion Bar & Restaurant

The Bastion Bar & Restaurant is providing some delightfully indulgent hot chocolates this Christmastime. Choose from 8 delicious flavours to suit your festive needs, as they will be serving up everything from salted caramel to peanut butter brownie hot chocolates. Costa might have dropped the white hot chocolate from their menu, but you will find one on The Bastion’s menu, as well as a dark chocolate cherry bourbon flavour.

Christmas Cocktails

Where: Red Door

Red Door has created not one but four amazing Christmas cocktails for you to enjoy this Yuletide season.

The Snow Glove is a perfect combination of sloe gin, chambord, gingerbread syrup, cranberry juice, plum bitters and lime juice. However, for a twist on the classic mulled wine, we recommend Miracle on Berry Street, which is made up from sloe gin, malbec, orange juice, almond syrup and Christmas spices. The Night Before Christmas will also linger on the tongue, as it’s an amalgamation of appleton VS rum, white Cacao, mixed fruit, half & half and egg.

There’s also the Smoking Santa, which is a sharing kettle that’s filled with Ketel One Vodka, Amaretto, Licor 43, cinnamon syrup, cranberry juice and Christmas spices.

The Festive Pizza

Where: Santa Maluco

Santa Maluco never fails to serve up scrumptious pizzas, so it’s absolutely no surprise they have created their rather tasty festive pizza, which features roasted turkey, pigs in blankets, bacon and a cranberry glaze, all on a tomato and mozzarella base.

Festive Punk Tea

Where: The Baltic Social

The Baltic Social aren’t afraid to put an amazing twist on traditional afternoon tea, and turn up the notch a little bit more at Christmas with their Festive Punk Tea, which is, simply put, amazing. It’s like American dining meets Willy Wonka and Elf, offering the true flavours of Christmas and some new additions.

Homemade Spiced Apple Cider, Mulled Wine or Hot G&Ts

Where: The Club House

Warm up this winter at The Club House. Whether you have been shopping ’til you drop at the Liverpool One stores, showing off some moves at the incredible ice rink at the Pier Head or enjoyed a leisurely stroll along the Albert Dock, you should pop into the popular restaurant to enjoy a cup of homemade spiced apple cider, mulled wine or a hot G&T.
